Disclaimer: We are two individuals processing, examining, and seeking to understand the complex aftermath of the brutal killing of George Floyd.
We both are working through these ideas out loud with one another. This is what we need to do. Dialogue with one another even if your ideology sits outside of one political identity group. (Especially if your ideology sits outside main stream arguments).
We are blessed to live in a country where we have freedom of speech, thought, and agency.
Both of us in this episode confess that we might not agree or belief something we said in this conversation next week. And that is a good thing. We must set dogmatism to the side…and have open honest conversation with out leveling personal attacks or character assumptions, HOWEVER . . . we must love and seek out the truth.
We all must have the freedom to disagree with ideas–and then present rational arguments for or against, not name calling.
So, please–if you want to message me, or Steve, disagreeing about something, or asking clarification about something, please do.
We are not experts. We are individuals seeking to understand all sides, love all people, and speak truth.
And we are open changing our ideas, and seeing the world in a truer light.
